Our Mission

We’re committed to helping students reach their educational goals while eliminating as much of the stress as we can that often accompanies the admissions journey. Using mindfulness and intention, we plan, teach, counsel, and support our students through individualized attention, guidance, and research with expertise in the multifaceted processes of college planning. As experienced Independent Educational Consultants, we understand the importance of your goals and take pleasure in providing you with valuable resources and proper guidance that will be essential throughout your educational journey. Our goal is for each student to discover more about themselves in their admissions journey than they ever have to enable them to better find an environment where they can flourish academically, socially, and emotionally – and feel prepared to face the higher education challenges that will be encountered in their future.

Inclusion Statement

We don’t just accept differences -- we celebrate and support them. It is our policy to provide high-quality, and compassionate care to all students. Therefore, we will not engage in or tolerate unlawful discrimination based on race, creed, color, national origin, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, height, weight, veteran status, relationship status, or non-disqualifying handicap.

Ethical Practice

We do not help with back doors, side doors, magic formulas, or secret strategies when it comes to college admissions. We take great pride in maintaining an ethical practice as we support our students as they go through their admissions experience. As such, we expect our students to go through this process ethically, and we expect parents to set a positive, ethical example as well. As professional members of IECA (the Independent Educational Consultants Association), HECA (Higher Educational Consultants Association), and NACAC (National Association of College Admissions Consultants),  we use the IECA Principles of Good Practice, the HECA Standards and Ethics Statement, and the NACAC Guide to Ethical Practice in College Admission as guiding documents, and abide by them in our work.

What We Believe

We believe that many schools can be a great fit for each of our students. There are hundreds of awesome colleges and universities, and lots of them will have the characteristics that our individual students need to be successful and happy while in college. While we don't believe in molding or "packaging" children or teens for a specific college or list of colleges, we do believe in finding and developing a list of the best schools for the person each of our students is and is growing to become.

Colleges today are looking for self-awareness. They seek creativity, curiosity, logical thinking skills, resourcefulness, perseverance, and resilience. They are not concerned with the ways each student acquires these important skills, and there is no formula for demonstrating or developing any of these specific traits, other than allowing teens the freedom to explore their own interests, make mistakes (and maybe make them again), and discover their purpose as they sort through their own philosophies and thoughts. Without this journey of thinking for themselves, questioning for themselves, learning from their failures, and developing their own brand of success, it is practically impossible for teens to develop into the independent thinking student that colleges are now recognizing will have the most success in their schools. Students must be encouraged to ask questions and be part of the decision-making process early on in their lives — and most certainly during the College Admissions and Applications process.
